POTD: April 15, 2012

Did some water coloring today and learned a valuable lesson.  Don't buy cheap watercolor paper!

POTD: February 19, 2011

Received my Simon Says Stamp card kit yesterday but by the time we got home I was too tired to open it.  Yes, now you know how tired I was - so I opened it today.  I love that they put a tootsie roll pop in it.  So cute.

Thankful Thursday: February 16, 2012

Some thing a little less heavy this week:

Let's thank my seven favorite crafty blogs for all of their inspiration:

1. Nichol Migourik - Though watch out, if you're like me, Nichol will make you want to buy every thing she uses on her pages!

2. Shimelle Laine - love Shimelle's style and the way she captures her memories in a clean and easy to follow way.

3. Kerri Bradford - love all of her kits.  Use the photo mats for photo collages and her die cuts for titles and other accents on my pages.  Love her!

4. Jennifer McGuire - love all of the techniques she uses.  I find myself wanting to try them all and then deciding that it's too much work!  LOL!  But I sure do watching all of the techniques she teaches.

5. Kimberly Kalil - such inspiration.  She does so much crafting while continuing to travel for her job.  I can't seem to balance the two, but reading about her ability to do it, while having two children, in fact, just gives me the encouragement to try.

6.  Scrapbooking from the Inside Out - Love Rachel and all the girls over there.  The encouragement to explore real emotion and their willingness to share their true selves with us, truly inspiring.  Besides, I love the kits!

7. Amy Rysavy - I'm going to learn how to color with my Copics - I swear it and if there's anyone who can help me to do it, it's Amy!

I get the add on for this kit club, as well!

Thankful Thursday

Thought I would do something a little different and little craft centered for this week's Thankful Thursday.

My seven favorite scrapbooking tools (there are others that I love, as well, and it was a hard decision, cause look Versamark didn't even make the list and I use that all the time - but I narrowed it down, I think for today anyway, these are the seven most used tools in my scraproom.)

Paper trimmer by Fiskars - love this one.

My Silhouette - haven't broken down and bought the Cameo yet.  Will, someday, but for now, still loving this one.

ATG - never thought I would want one of these, but had a coupon and thought I'd give it a try.  Really glad that I did.

Martha Stewart scoring board - another of those, it's on sale so why not give it a try purchases that I'm so happy to have bought.

Large format printer from Epson.  I don't use this one as much as I use my Canon photo printer or my HP general printer - but when I want to make my own background paper or print something directly on a layout - this printer is a must.

Camcorder - learning how to make videos (in fact ordered a heavy duty tripod today to help the process) and this camera works beautifully for that.  (Thank you Marriott - ordered it with my Marriott points.)

My camera - it is true that this thing laughs at me while I'm trying to use it but just the camera itself has made me a million times better as a photographer - so just think where I started.  HAHA.  (Again, thank you Marriott).
